History
The Sukerchakia Misl was born out of Singhpuria Misl and it was one of the twelve Sikh Misls in Punjab during the 18th century concentrated in Gujranwala & Hafizabad district of western Punjab. They ruled from 1752 to 1801. The Sukerchakia last Misldar was Maharaja Ranjit Singh of Sandhu Jat Sikh dynasty. Towards the end of the 18th century Maharaja Ranjit Singh united all the Misls and established an independent kingdom in Punjab.
